Some of our personal recommendations are:
Hakuba
Come and stay at 'La Neige Hotel' and enjoy true 5 star luxury as part of your Japan snow experience.
Whilst you are staying here only the best is good enough. Everyday is a champagne breakfast day. Every room has been individually designed to have a unique feel and add that touch of personal class and elegance. Perfect for a romantic ski break or incentive reward holiday
Snow-shoe trekking and backcountry skiing
We can arrange a day with an experienced Canadian guide trying out either of these lesser practised winter sports. Get away from the regular slopes and head out into the untouched glades and valleys. Contact us for more details
Koya-san Shukubo
Mt. Koya is a raised table-land located about 100km south of Nara and is home to a number of Buddhist monasteries. Lodging at one of these is a great experience and comes complete with some excellent shoji-ryori (traditional vegetarian monastery cuisine). This is a great opportunity to stay in a temple and soak in some of the ambience of the long-held traditions of Japanese religious life. In winter it will be extremely cold outside though so bring some warm clothes!
Shirohama onsen
One of Japan's oldest onsen (hot spring resorts) and a beautiful white beach to boot. As late as October the temperature averages 20degrees here and there is a wide variety of accommodation to suit all budgets. A real contrast to the temples and shrines of Nara and Kyoto.
Universal Studios Japan
This is Japan's newest theme park - packed with attractions and international dining this is a must-see when in the Osaka area for anyone who loves Hollywood.
Tawaraya Ryokan, Kyoto
For the ultimate in service and ambience stay a few nights at the Tawaraya. Previous guests have included the likes of Marlon Brando and Charlie Chaplin. This 300 year old inn has a beautiful Japanese garden and wonderfully prepared Kaiseki cuisine. Baron Hilton called the service here "a lesson to hotelmen on what service is all about." Perfect for romance. Make your honeymoon a true once-in-a-lifetime experience.
